Mount Kare Open House

All Kare Youth League members will have the opportunity to enjoy a summer camp at Mount Kare, our very own camping facility in Wrightwood. It is located just across the street from Mountain High ski resort in the Angeles National Forest. Mount Kare will open its doors for a day of family fun on Memorial Weekend!! Take the opportunity to visit the facility with your family on Memorial weekend between 10:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. There will be loads of activities along with tours and a complimentary hot dog lunch served between 11:30 and 1:00. Don’t miss this opportunity to see our state of the art camping facilities your children will enjoy this summer! (Directions are available in the office.) Spin the wheel!

Start selling those Circus tickets for a chance to spin the wheel! Boys and girls can start spinning the candy wheel for every $25 sold. When you reach your quota of $150 you can spin the big wheel for bigger prizes!!!

KYL Future Series

A highlight of any baseball/softball season at Kare Youth League is the annual Future Series. This year, the boys will be combining Upland & Arcadia to face Covina. The girls will be doing it the old fashion way with Covina & Upland combining to take on Arcadia. Players are invited to participate based on attendance and performance.

Kare’s Annual Family Picnic Finds New Site

Kare Youth League’s Annual Family Picnic is coming to Pearl Prep (10900 Mulhall St., El Monte) on Saturday, May 14. This year will feature a giant 5-on-5 Volleyball Tournament. The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the tournament begins at 6:00. Bring  your own picnic dinner and take part in activities like: pie baking contest, three-legged race, chipping contest, obstacle course, chalk drawing, gunny sack race, and the famous egg toss (don’t forget the camera for this one). The cost is $12 for a family (limit four per family) or $4 per person. Proceeds go to Rio Hondo Prep’s Class of 2012 “Senior Gift”. Also included is a performance from the RHP “Dance Crew”. Mark down the date, Saturday, May 14 and be part of the action!
